Omschrijving

NL-SWITCH Orchestra @ Scots Church

Door 17:00, Concert 17:30, Drinks and Free food 18:30, Improjam 19:00, End 20:00

A new improvisation orchestra featuring Rotterdam's finest young talent (Jonathan Ho Bas, Pablo Cruz sax, Oriol Mares klarinet) alongside highly experienced (inter)national guests.

Albert van Veenendaal conjures magical sounds from the prepared piano, while Theo Jörgensmann, known in The Netherlands from *De Volharding* (Andriessen, Breuker) and *The Contraband*—the first Bimhuis orchestra by Van Manen—joins the ensemble.

Friso van Wijck drums, composer and improvisator of jazz and classic (Bulliphant, Candy Container, wrote for o.a. Asko ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, Doelen Ensemble, Mondriaan String Quartet, Doelen String Quartet and the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra).

Bert den Hoed Keys, Improvisor and concert organisator.

Expect storytelling, cinematic, and at times cartoon-esque jazz.
